Looks like Buffalo Bills fans didn’t like Nick Wright criticizing their quarterback Josh Allen and his men, despite the team’s 10-6 season record. With a slow start, the Bills went into their bye week with a mediocre 6-6 record, but as they returned, everything changed.
For four weeks back-to-back, Josh Allen-led Bills have secured victories, improving their record to a 10-6. This four-game win streak has placed the team at 6th rank in the conference, as they are set to clinch the playoff spot by the weekend.
However, the First Things First co-host still does not consider the Bills a contending team. In his opinion, if the Jacksonville Jaguars and Pittsburgh Steelers win this weekend, Buffalo will be left with two scenarios: either the two seeds or nothing at all.
Wright said, highlighting there’s a very unlikely chance for the Bills to win four straight playoff games, to reach their goal, the Super Bowl:
Anyone who has watched the Bills this year & thinks they have any chance of stringing together 4 straight excellent games is out of their mind. Yes, they can beat anyone on any given weekend but they can also be trailing Easton Stick with 30 seconds left.Nick Wright on First Things First
Currently, the Bills have a 90 per cent chance of making it to the playoffs, however, they merely have an 11.1% chance of reaching the Super Bowl. Though in the last four games, the Bills have proven themselves as contending, fans want to hold onto that.
Fans slam Nick Wright for criticising Buffalo Bills
As FS1’s Wright predicted the Bills’ playoff scenarios, fans did not like it at all. Fans believe, that whenever quarterback Allen is needed, he has done the work for his team and so has his team. As the team had no chance of winning the games against the Kansas City Chiefs or Dallas Cowboys, still Allen’s men pulled off the games. Fans believe, just like how the Bills strung four straight wins, they can do it again in the playoffs.
One fan wrote, “Never seen an analyst pray on another team’s downfall so much, ” while another said, “Have the Chiefs done that at all this year? But he still has them in the Super Bowl right?” Here are some of the reactions:
It is worth noting that some fans even trolled him for still believing in the Cowboys, even though the Bills destroyed them.
