Former Vlog Squad member Dominykas Zeglaitis — also known as “Durte Dom” — has finally addressed the sexual assault claims that recently come out against him.

Last month (March 16), Insider  released an article about a woman, who went under the pseudonym, ‘Hannah,’ who claims that Zeglaitis sexually assaulted her while filming for one of David Dobrik‘s videos back in 2018. Although the video has already been taken down, she accused the Vlog Squad member for having nonconsensual sex with her while she was under the influence of alcohol.

This past weekend (April 17), Zeglaitis finally released a statement on his Instagram story, but denies that the assault was nonconsensual.

“It is time for me to address the recent allegations that have come out against me. I want to sincerely apologize directly to the women involved in this incident. I definitely empathize with the pain that everyone has suffered from this matter. With that being said, as far as I’m concerned, everything that occurred that night in question was completely consensual. I believe the statements that have come out against me are entirely misleading and shed an incorrect light on my involvement. My character is being unfairly attacked and the statements that exist in the public eye are unfairly defaming and assaulting my character and reputation,’ Zeglaitis said.

He continued, “With that being said, if possible, I want to shed a positive light on the events that have transpired, and show the world who I truly am. I recently donated my time as well as thousands of dollars to several women’s rights groups to show my support for the unjustified and unnecessary struggles that women endure in our society on a daily basis. It is time for all of us to demonstrate more respect for one another in every facet of life.”

Following Insider’s report, Dobrik posted an apology video on March 22, a week after the allegations.

Dobrik addressed to Hannah and said, “I want to apologize to her and her friends for ever putting them in an environment, that I enabled, that made them feel like their safety and values were compromised. I’m so sorry.”

After the release of Dobrik’s video, a few members of the Vlog Squad came out to address the situation as well, including Dobrik’s friend and former assistant, Natalie Mariduena, Jeff WittekCarly Incontro, and Erin Gilfoy.
