55-year-old man arrested in Garden City for string of robberies and police chase

GARDEN CITY, Idaho (CBS2) Garden City Police say an arrest was made connected to two robberies and an attempted robbery of three Garden City businesses. Garden City Police say an arrest was made connected to two robberies and an attempted robbery of three Garden City businesses.

Garden City Police say that around 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 5, Boise Police located a GMC pickup matching the truck's description used during the robberies near 6001 W. Cassia St.

When Garden City Police arrived, 55-year-old Warren Shaw fled and drove through the football field of Borah high school before crashing the truck. Shaw then attempted to flee on foot before police arrested him on two counts of robbery, one count of attempted robbery, grand theft, eluding police in a vehicle and resisting arrest.

Police say that Shaw was also on probation and expect the Idaho Department of Corrections to issue an Agents Warrant for him.

Shaw is expected to appear in court to be arraigned on Aug. 7 at 1:30 p.m.
